Ag Hall Tractor Cruise

May 3, 2014

Bonner Springs, KS

Wow!  What a beautiful day for a worthwhile cause.  The Ag Hall Tractor Cruise sponsored by the GKCTCC took place on Saturday, May 3, 2014 starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Ag Hall and returning at 4:00 p.m. for a barbecue dinner.  With near perfect weather, the cruise consisted of 56 tractors which traveled first to the Marble Day Parade (Bonner Springs, KS) and then on to the Elm Baptist Church for a break, then to the Holy- Field Vineyard and Winery for lunch provided by church ladies, after that a drive through of the parking lot (Orschelm Farm and Home), then to Cabela’s (afternoon break) with the last stop for pictures at the Kansas Speedway before returning to the Ag Hall for a barbecue dinner.  Some lucky winners won $25 gift cards during the dinner hour.  Overall the cruise route was around 40 miles and was escorted by four Sheriff’s vehicles.   A few tractors never made the entire distance—we won’t go there.  The Ag Hall benefitted by $6,185 from the tractor cruise.  Thanks to everyone who helped out in one way or another to make the cruise a success.
